          1. The topic is about the Implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) as a Teaching Media in English Language Learning in Elementary School. I have read it last year. I can access that article from Google Scholar. Based on my experience I just discovered the importance of reading a book because of the demands of writing a research proposal. But since then I have also used scientific
articles as one of the sources of information that I use to support my studies.

          2. I think what made it memorable was the title of the article I read, which was very relevant to the proposal I was going to write. So, I was really excited to read it. And the article presented the data clearly, accompanied by easy-to-understand explanations.

Knowing how to find, read, and use journal articles is arguably one of the most important skills for success in college and beyond. Unlike textbooks or websites, scholarly journal articles are the bedrock of higher education because they represent the cutting edge of knowledge in every field.

Journal articles must be published to fulfill their role in the scientific and academic ecosystem. Publication is the mechanism that validates, disseminates, and establishes the findings as part of the official body of knowledge.

                  1. I think writing a scientific article is important because it helps us learn how to think critically, organize ideas, and use proper academic language. It also trains us to do research properly, which is really useful if we want to be teachers or continue studying later. Plus, it makes us more confident in writing formal English.
                  2. I usually use Google Scholar, because it’s the easiest to access and has lots of free articles. Sometimes I also check ResearchGate if I can’t find the full version on Google Scholar.
                  3. I found two articles about using songs to teach listening skills. Both of them have the same basic structure—abstract, introduction, literature review, method, results, discussion, and conclusion. But one article was more formal and used lots of data and statistics, while the other one explained things more simply and focused more on classroom examples. The writing style also felt different—one was more academic, the other more practical.
                  4. For me, the methodology part is the hardest to understand because it’s full of technical terms, research design details, and sometimes statistical analysis that I’m not very familiar with. Sometimes the sentences are also really long, which makes it harder to follow.
                  5. Reading journal articles helps a lot because I can see how academic writers structure their ideas, use formal language, and cite sources correctly. It also gives me inspiration for vocabulary and sentence patterns. The more I read, the more I understand how to write in a clear, logical, and academic way.

                    1. Writing academic articles is very important for English Education students because it forces us to interact with precision and formality in academic writing. This encourages us to consume information and begin contributing new knowledge or providing critical analysis in our field. The journal finder I usually use is Google Scholar because it provides me with comprehensive articles. Sometimes I also search on Elsevier to find articles.
                    2. I have read two articles on reading comprehension for EFL students. The first article focuses on improving reading comprehension, while the second focuses on analysing problems in EFL students’ reading comprehension. Both articles examine students’ reading abilities but use different research methods.
                    3. I’d say that the Methodology section is often the most difficult part to fully understand, as there is data that needs to be read, especially in quantitative or mixed studies.
                    4. Reading journal articles is the best way to improve our academic writing skills because they provide authentic, high-quality examples of effective scientific communication.

                      1. Writing a scientific article helps English education students explore classroom challenges and share practical solutions. “The study Teachers’ Perception of Using Quizizz to Enhance Students’ Motivation in Learning English Junior High School” was found through Google Scholar, a trusted and easy to use platform for accessing research on English teaching and learning, including digital tools like Quizizz.

                      3. In my opinion, the hardest part of a journal article to understand is the methodology section because it explains the research process, how data was collected, and what instruments were used. This section can be confusing since it often includes technical terms and detailed procedures that require a good understanding of research methods.

                      4. In my opinion, reading journal articles help me improve my academic writing because I can learn how to organize ideas, use formal language, and follow academic structures like IMRaD.

                        1. Its important to every students, not only English Education students because by writing scientific article, it means we are able to create new innovative research in real life time. By the fact that everyday goes by, students always change. The innovative strategies of teaching should developed each day and time, to make sure the process of teaching and learning are effective. By writing a scientific article, it proves that students able to contribute in the field, share original finding especially on a new teaching techniques effectiveness, and able to responsible to their writing. Its also able to develop critical thinking, research skills, and analysis skill on students.
Journal finder I usually use is Google Schoolar. Some of journal finder I also use is Project, and Sinta
                        2. I found five articles which were interesting for me, it has differences and similarities in some of their aspects. I put all those articles summary in google drive with word format. Here is the link to access it https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vjNks7hlYGyagjo2DO8LFwfZsBAJUjJm?usp=sharing
                        3. To me its methodology. Because some of article didn’t showed a specific information about it. Such as instruments in the research. They wrote they use interview for the instrument, but I didn’t know what kind of question they use, how to assess the interview sheets, etc. Suddenly, all I know is the research is showed positive results. All of journal parts have their own difficulties to me, like in the introduction. I find it quiet hard to write, looking for a references, till paraphrase. But overall Methodology is rather difficult to understand
                        4. writing is productive skill (output) so speaking does. To produce some output, we must receive some input which also called as receptive.
Reading, and listening are receptive skills. To be concluded, if we want to create some writing we must receive some input by reading. If we want to be able to speak, we must receive input by listening. By reading journal articles we will write better because we will find some vocabularies that are common used, we find strategies that suit the best, we will find the best approach and kind of method to used, also we will find new insight, opinion and fact from experts so the writing will more accurate. By reading, we will able to analyze multiple sources to build new arguments, statement, rather than just writing summaries.

                          1. Writing scientific articles is important for English education students because it helps us learn to write academically, think critically, and develop ideas with a strong theoretical basis. In addition, writing articles also trains research skills and the use of formal English.
I used Google Scholar to search for journals because it is easy to use and provides many reliable scientific articles.

                          2. I found two articles, both articles focus on English teaching, but from different perspectives. The first article discusses students’ perceptions of writing instruction, while the second article examines the influence of technology (Augmented Reality) in English learning. In terms of structure, both articles have the same sections, such as abstract, introduction, methods, results, and discussion, but the writing styles are different—the first article is more descriptive and reflective, while the second article is more technical and innovative.

                          3. The methodology section was the most difficult for me to understand because it contained many research terms and technical explanations about research design, instruments, and data analysis, which were sometimes confusing.

                          4. Reading journal articles helped me improve my academic writing skills because I was able to learn how to construct formal sentences, write with a neat structure, and understand how other writers develop arguments based on data and theory.

                              1. Writing a scientific article is important for English education students because it trains us to think critically, organize ideas systematically, and use academic English properly. Through journal writing, we also learn how to support our arguments with valid data and credible sources, which is very useful for future research or thesis writing. To find the journals, I used ‘Google Scholar and ResearchGate’, which provide many open-access articles related to English education.

                              2. I analyzed two journal articles on the same topic: one quantitative and one qualitative study about students’ motivation in learning English. The quantitative article used the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion) with clear statistical data and charts. The qualitative article, on the other hand, had a more narrative structure and focused on descriptions, interviews, and thematic analysis. Both had similar sections like the abstract and references, but they differed in terms of data presentation and writing style—the quantitative one was more objective and concise, while the qualitative one was more descriptive and interpretive.

                              3. The part I find most difficult to understand is the methodology section, especially in quantitative studies. It often includes complex statistical terms, formulas, and data analysis techniques that require more background knowledge. Sometimes, the explanation of sampling or instrument validation is also quite technical.

                              4. Reading journal articles helps me improve my academic writing because I can learn the correct structure, academic vocabulary, and citation style. It also helps me see how professional researchers build arguments logically and cohesively. By analyzing how they write introductions, present findings, and discuss implications, I can apply similar techniques to improve my own research papers and assignments.

                                1. Writing a scientific article is important for English education students because it trains us to think critically, organize ideas logically, and express arguments using academic language. It also helps us engage with current research trends in language teaching and learning. Publishing an article allows us to contribute to the field, share our insights, and develop our academic credibility as future educators and researchers.
                                2. I used the Elsevier Journal Finder to look for journals related to English language education and teaching methodologies. It was useful because I could input the title and abstract of my topic, and the tool suggested journals that matched the scope and keywords of my research.
                                3. Find two or more journal articles on the same topic. Compare and find what similarities or differences did you notice in their structure or style.
I found two journal articles on the topic of “Using technology in English language teaching.”
                                4. Reading journal articles helps me improve my academic writing by exposing me to examples of formal structure, academic vocabulary, and citation styles. I learn how researchers frame research problems, connect theory to practice, and present their findings logically. Over time, I become more aware of how to organize my own writing, build coherent arguments, and use evidence effectively.

                                  3. The most difficult part for me to understand is usually the Methodology section, especially when the researchers explain statistical analysis or complex research designs. Sometimes, the authors use technical terms like t-count, significance value, correlation coefficient, or Likert scale, which can be confusing if we are not familiar with research terminology.
However, in qualitative studies like Wirentake (2025), the methodology is easier to follow because it focuses on interviews and observations rather than statistical analysis.

                                  4. In my opinion, reading journal articles greatly helps me enhance my academic writing skills. Through reading, I can observe how professional researchers organize their ideas, build logical arguments, and maintain coherence in their writing. It also exposes me to a variety of academic expressions and vocabulary that I can apply in my own writing. Moreover, by analyzing how authors present data and discuss findings, I learn how to write more critically and objectively. Overall, reading journal articles helps me understand what good academic writing looks like and motivates me to improve my own work.

Reading scientific articles also helps us think more critically and see things from different perspectives, since they provide reliable and interesting information. That’s why I believe reading scientific articles is essential for English education students. Personally, I often use Google Scholar to find articles because it’s easy to access and full of credible sources.

                                        3. In my perspective, the most difficult parts of a journal article are the methodology and discussion sections. These parts need deeper understanding and sometimes special guidance, because they deal with data analysis and how to explain the results clearly. It’s not something we can just guess or do carelessly, we really need to know what we’re doing. That’s why I think students should get more support or mentoring to fully understand these sections.
                                        4. I believe reading journal articles can really help us improve our academic writing skills. By reading different kinds of academic works, we can learn how to organize ideas better, use the right academic words, and follow the correct structure of a research paper. It also helps us become more open-minded and critical when reading or writing something. The more we read journal articles, the more we understand how to write our own papers with confidence and better quality.

Just by entering a few keywords such as “AI in ELT,” hundreds of articles appear. In addition, we can also set the publication date range of the articles we want to read.

                                          3. The most difficult part to understand is the methodology section, because this section is closely related to research design, data analysis, and instruments. Sometimes I have to reread this section several times to really understand how researchers collect and analyze their data. In addition, this section is difficult to understand because I have no experience in conducting or writing research article, which makes me feel confused.

In addition, I also learn the content of the articles by observing the writing patterns.

                                              3. I read a journal about using Duolingo to improve students’ grammar skills, then I compared it with another journal that discussed a similar topic. The structure of both was the same, with an introduction, methods, results, and discussion (IMRaD). But one of them had more complete explanations, especially in the statistics section.
                                              4. The part that confused me the most was the methodology, because there were many technical terms and explanations about research design that were sometimes difficult to understand if you were not familiar with the terms.

                                                1. In my opinion, writing an article is very important for English education students. This is because knowledge about language learning and the use of technology in English language learning is currently growing. This is certainly influenced by social conditions, increasingly sophisticated developments and supported by easy access to technology and the large number of people who are aware of the importance of learning and using English to support their careers, whether in education or other fields of work. It is hoped that the research conducted by English education students can produce concrete data that is presented in a scientific article about knowledge or English learning activities in order to improve the effectiveness of learning in the classroom. Additionally, it is hoped that writing a scientific article about English language learning can open new perspectives and ways of thinking for readers, showing them that English language learning is important to study and that language will always undergo development influenced by social conditions and the times.

                                                3. In my opinion, the part of a journal article that is currently still difficult and confusing when writing a journal article is the introduction. In the introduction, I am still a little confused about what aspects should be included in the introduction and how to organize and describe them clearly so that readers can easily understand the direction and purpose of the research conducted by the author.

                                                4. In my opinion, reading many journal articles can help novice researchers like me in terms of improving academic writing skills, particularly in the brainstorming stage (searching for ideas). The more journal articles you read, the more insights and knowledge you gain, which facilitates the process of writing and compiling a research paper. This is because through reading, writers become aware of unresolved issues and research that has not yet been conducted, which can be used as research gaps for future research.

                                                    1. From my point of view, writing scientific articles is crucial for English language learners because it forms the foundation of their academic and professional development. This process trains students in critical thinking and research from problem formulation and literature review to data analysis essential skills for further study and careers.

                                                    2. I usually use Google Scholar to search for and read journal articles. The difference between the two articles lies in the research subject.

Furthermore, I was exposed to a formal and precise style of writing, which taught me how to use technical terminology correctly and master proper citation and referencing skills, which are the gold standard in scientific writing.

They learn the conventions, structure, and formal tone of academic discourse, which is a powerful form of communication in its own right. The process forces them to formulate a clear research question, find and synthesize existing literature, and construct a logical, evidence-based argument. In my research process, I primarily rely on Google Scholar

It is filled with field-specific and statistical terminology , The descriptions of experimental designs, data collection instruments, and statistical analyses require a certain level of technical knowledge to evaluate the validity and reliability of the study.

I think writing a scientific article is really important for English education students because it helps us practice how to think critically and write in an academic way. Through writing an article, we learn how to organize ideas, support them with theories or previous studies, and use proper academic language. Besides that, it also trains us to be more disciplined in doing research and to understand how real academic writing works — which will be useful later when we write our thesis or become teachers and researchers.

Usually, this part is full of research terms and technical explanations that are quite complicated. Sometimes the authors use specific methods or data analysis that I’m not really familiar with, so I have to read it a few times to really get what they mean. It’s also hard when they use a lot of statistics or tables because it takes more effort to understand how the data connects to the results.

By reading them, I can learn how professional writers organize their ideas, use academic vocabulary, and support their arguments with evidence. Even though some parts, like the qualitative methodology, are sometimes hard to understand, reading journals gives me new insights and helps me write more clearly and effectively in my own academic work.
