222201221. Writing scientific articles is important for English education students because it helps us learn to write academically, think critically, and develop ideas with a strong theoretical basis. In addition, writing articles also trains research skills and the use of formal English.
I used Google Scholar to search for journals because it is easy to use and provides many reliable scientific articles.2. I found two articles, both articles focus on English teaching, but from different perspectives. The first article discusses students’ perceptions of writing instruction, while the second article examines the influence of technology (Augmented Reality) in English learning. In terms of structure, both articles have the same sections, such as abstract, introduction, methods, results, and discussion, but the writing styles are different—the first article is more descriptive and reflective, while the second article is more technical and innovative.
3. The methodology section was the most difficult for me to understand because it contained many research terms and technical explanations about research design, instruments, and data analysis, which were sometimes confusing.
4. Reading journal articles helped me improve my academic writing skills because I was able to learn how to construct formal sentences, write with a neat structure, and understand how other writers develop arguments based on data and theory.

1. One of my most memorable experiences in reading a journal article was when I read about the use of Augmented Reality in Teaching Writing of Descriptive Text in English language learning. I read it around May last year through Google Scholar. At first, I felt quite challenged because the language was very academic and there were many unfamiliar technical terms.
2. What made this experience memorable was the article’s clear structure—from the background and methodology to the findings. Yet, the discussion part was quite difficult because it contained deep analyses and many theoretical references. From this experience, I realized that the common challenges students face when reading journal articles are the complex academic language, the need for broad theoretical understanding, and maintaining focus while reading long texts.
